The Google Trusted Stores Programme is a new programme recently released in the UK.
Once accepted in the programme allows you to display a 'Google Trusted Stores' badge on your website, increasing buyer confidence (and hopefully conversions) for new customers.
Once your a member of Google Trusted Stores and you become a certified shop, you'll also be automatically eligible to display a 'Google Trusted Stores' badge on your Adwords listings, on your Google Product Listing Ads, and they can help you qualify for seller ratings in Adwords.
When a customer purchases from your Google certified site, they'll be asked whether they want to opt-in to the programme and receive free protection from Google on purchases up to $1000.
Becoming a certified store is quick and easy.
First you'll need to apply for a Google Trusted Stores account. You can do this by clicking here.
Once your application has been received and approved, you'll then be given a Google Trusted Store ID. You can install the APP in your ShopWired account and enter this ID (and a few bits of other information). You'll then need to tell Google that you have completed the integration and do a few quick and easy tests on the code (which you can do yourself easily by following our instructions).
Once complete, you'll then be able to enter a 'monitoring' period where Google will, to selected customers, ask them whether they want to receive the protection and rate their experience with you. Once the monitoring is complete the Google Trusted Stores badge will then be displayed on your website.
